* The Dominican Republic is located east of Haiti. D.R. is also very hot. There are many animals in the Dominican Republic. A couple of animals that you don't usually see in New York are iguanas, monkeys, pecan, and other tropical animals. The Dominican Republic also has very beautiful, big hotels. There are some in almost every city. The one that I go to on vacation is called Hamaca Coral. It's located in Boca Chica. The Dominican Republic is nice. They have the most juicy coconuts and beautiful palm trees. The best part of the Dominican Republic is the food, the candy, and deserts. They are all delicious.
* The Dominican flag has the colors red, white, and blue. The white cross divides the colors. There are four squares. In the squares are the colors red and blue.
* The emblem is similar to the flag design and shows a bible, a cross of gold, 4 Dominican flags and 2 spears on the pattern of the flag. There are branches of olive and palm around the shield, and above on a ribbon is the motto "Dios, Patria, Liberated" meaning "God, Fatherland, Liberty." Below the shield is another ribbon bearing the name of the country "Republica Dominicana".
